What pages does your website need?

What pages does your website need?

Your website is your face and speaks to clients on your behalf. That’s why it’s vital your website is sharing the right message. To do so, your website needs to include at least six key pages:

1. Home

This is where you create your first impression. It’s where you ‘hook’ your clients by convincing them you have the solutions to their problems.

2. About

Share your story to show you have the experience, knowledge and expertise to solve your clients’ problems.

But also tell them about the people behind your company, especially if you have an interesting backstory on how or why you started the business.

Some entrepreneurs started their business because of a bad experience. This type of story can reassure clients they’re going to get a great service.

3. Services

Explain what you do clearly and concisely, but try to avoid a long list of features.

Instead, focus on your clients and how you can help them solve a problem.

4. Contact

If your clients can’t get hold of you, they will move on to your competitors, so make sure they can contact you on a variety of platforms: email, social media or even a chatbot.

Remember to keep the contact information on your website up to date. When people contact you, always respond within a reasonable timeframe. Set up automatic replies to respond on your behalf outside working hours.

5. FAQ

The more questions you answer, the more likely it is your website will be listed in search results. So briefly answer the most frequently asked questions about your industry on your FAQ page.

You could also use your FAQ page to distinguish your business and answer the question: Why should clients use you?

6. Blog

Publishing a regular blog is a great way to prove your expertise. You can also share your blogs on social media to increase their reach.
